Experience Using Twitter:
Personally, I have never liked Twitter, and I have never had the desire to use it. My first and only personal experience on Twitter has been this class as it is a required part of it. I fully intend on deleting my account after the fact. I do not find Twitter beneficial whatsoever and I don't see how it will help me in my future career, I was ok with trying it for this class, but I just don't see the point in it.
The Digital Divide:
The digital divide definitely effects those who don't have access to the proper technology more than those who have it, if they are affected at all, as they cannot access certain key resources or even assignments. If students right now at FSU don't have access to a computer or phone to reach CANVAS then they can't even access their assignments. In regards to classroom experience as an educator, I will most likely encounter students of a lower income household who wont have access to technology. My hopes are that I can make it to where they wont need to access it to be able to participate and interact within the course.
Academic Software:
One piece of academic software I would like to use is Microsoft Word. It will be instrumental in working on Creative Writing pieces, if students need to buy it but can't afford it then they can then use Google Docs instead as they both work in similar manners. Another one would be Hypothesis. which is a source that will allow me to post a piece and the students can read and annotate it.
I heard about Hypothesis before but had limited experience with it. It seems like a great tool for a group of people to annotate PDF files. What else do you do with it in class?
