 EME Experience

For my EME class I was in person for class and was present all but one day, due to being sick with COVID symptoms (thankfully it wasn't COVID), so far. I liked that for my classroom experience I was able to understand the teacher and what they intended and if I ever had a question they were quick to answer. I don't think there was anything I disliked really, there may have been a few things I was confused about here and there but the teacher was always willing to answer any questions I had. I guess if I had to pick something to dislike it is only really a personal thing, that being the Final project being a group project and in such a way that if someone screws it up for the rest of the group they all could fail, that's probably my only real problem I had/have, but even then it kind of makes sense due to the volume of work needed to be done.

OER

Open Educational Resources include things such as textbooks, school/course websites, things such as that. Essentially they are free/open resources that students can access. I found a blog that talks about 5 benefits of OERs. These 5 things are: You can expand students’ access to learning, You can customize OER materials to fit your teaching needs, You can use OERs to enhance existing course material, OERs Are Often Cutting Edge, and OERs save (lots) of money for your students.

Assignment 4

A new skill I acquired while working on both assignment 4 and 5 was how to do Action buttons in Power point. I also learned how to link them to other slides within the Power Point. For assignment 4 I really liked this assignment, as it got me into a teaching mindset and got me thinking about how I would format the slides. Another skill I learned was how to add sound to the Power Point.
